Thank you so much to Paul, Nicola and Anne, for your kind and attentive service arranging my husband, Derek’s, funeral. It was an especially difficult time, as apart from losing my husband and our family member, the pandemic was rapidly becoming much more widespread and dangerous. This caused us to change the date, as friends and family became increasingly concerned about the safety of travelling to attend. We also made some additional requests, such as a webcast and tribute slideshow at very short notice. These amendments were attended to kindness, understanding and prompt attention. I requested a simple ceremony without a celebrant, cars (apart from the hearse), or order of service, and this was accepted without any expectation that I “should” do things conventionally. On the day, Paul and his colleagues were lovely- respectful yet friendly, at just the right balance. Paul explained how we would enter the chapel, and led us out at the end, and the funeral was the personal, intimate farewell to Derek that we wanted. Thank you so much for all your help, it could not have been better, notwithstanding the circumstances.

Our thanks go to all staff at Paul J King, especially to Wendy Price. From the moment she stepped foot in our house, she took us under her wing. Nothing was too much for her with arranging everything Ken and I wanted to make his passing easier for us all. The funeral was a celebration of his life and it was a truly beautiful ceremony. He would have enjoyed the pomp and ceremony, which was done expertly and very professionally from day one. Thank you all for your support and guidance during a very sad time for us all. Sarah G

My daughters, my granddaughters and I would like to say thank you to Sharon and Martin for the way they looked after us when my husband died unexpectedly. We were guided in how to put together an Order of Service that we think is beautiful and which gives me comfort. All our dealings with your firm were dignified and unhurried, an important point. The service was lovely and we would like to say how grateful we are to Louise Linton, who was our celebrant. A number of people also commented. Thank you for helping us at a sad and difficult time.
