In September 2015 we proudly opened our Hullbridge Office on Ferry Road, this was the 6th addition to the Paul J King Family.

During our 5 years we have supported and guided many families during their time of need. We can offer help in all aspects of the funeral. With connections to memorial masons and relationships with churches, cemeteries, crematoria, caterers and florists we can offer advice and guidance on many different areas.

Although we meet families at a difficult time in their lives, we have met some lovely people who have remained friends and who pop in to see us from time to time.

Since being part of the Hullbridge community, we have attended and supported many community groups and events.

October 2015 we hosted our first event, our Chapel Dedication. This was supported by local clergy, our staff and Parish and District Councillors. Later that same year we held a charity stall at the Hullbridge Christmas Fayre, raising money for Hullbridge Heartwatch. We also participated in the Festive Window Competition which we were proud to win. This was also the first year we did our Name a Star on a festive tree which was a huge success. We have participated in the Hullbridge Festive Window Competition and held a stall at the annual light switch on ever since.

September 2016 we hosted our first Macmillan Coffee morning, which was successful and soon became an annual event. With local people coming to enjoy a cuppa and a piece of cake in our relaxed atmosphere. Over the years we have raised more than £840.00, unfortunately due to Covid-19 restrictions we have made the decision not to host a coffee morning this year.

The Name a Christmas Star campaign runs throughout December every year and the money raised goes to local charities. We have supported Hullbridge Heartwatch and 1st Hullbridge Scout Group and raised £628.00 for the 2 charities.

Through our window displays we try to show support to different charities, events, community groups and the changing seasons. Some of our window displays have included

  • Local History Window (Hullbridge photographs form the past)
  • Local Artist Artwork
  • Riverside Primary School Art Club
  • 1st Hullbridge Scout Group Easter Egg Hunt
  • Marie Curie Cancer Support
  • Macmillan Coffee Morning
  • Poppy Appeal and Remembrance Day
  • Festive Christmas Window
  • Harvest Festival
  • Circus (School Event)
  • Seaside with Love on the Rocks
  • British Heart Foundation

Through our office we have sold tickets to school events such as the Firework Display and Circus and offered support by advertising these events and donating raffle prizes.

We have proudly been a pitch side sponsor at Hullbridge Sports Football Club for the past 2 years and attended their sponsors day in 2019.

We were invited to attend Fitzwimarc School Careers Evening where we spoke to students and their families about the different careers within the funeral profession.

In 2018 we hosted an Alzheimer's Society Cupcake Day giving people the opportunity to come in for a cup of tea and a cake in aid of Alzheimer's Society.

Nicola from the Hullbridge office has represented the company while participating in the Maldon Mud Race and Chelmsford Bubble Rush both of which we raised funds for charities.

We would like to extend a thank you to the local community for supporting our events and fundraising efforts as we would not have had successful events without your support and generosity.
